This fall we organise tours in September and October in which you can enjoy the Indian Summer in Kyrgyzstan and watch the trees around Lake Issyk Kul turn into a beautiful tapestry of fall colours.
Dates: from September 1 till October 31 (it is an individual tour, you can start any date you like).
Prices:
2 p. - 990 Euro p.p.
3-4 p. - 890 Euro p.p.
5-8 p. - 740 Euro p.p.
Enjoy a two weeks trip around Lake Issyk Kul, the huge mountain lake in the east of Kyrgyzstan, stroll around the beautiful Kemin valley and Ala-Archa national park, and experience the honest hospitality of the Kyrgyz people. In the capital, Bishkek, you visit museums, if possible a concert or theatre performance, and you can shop in the oriental bazaar. We can organize a sauna visit, or maybe a relaxing massage, if you prefer. You can soak up the sunbeams of the warm late summer on a terrace downtown Bishkek while you sip your tea and write your travel journal.
Your tour around the lake is by minibus. Lake Issyk Kul and its impressive scenery will give you the opportunity to hike, swim in September and ride on horseback (also for beginners). Day trips to an old style spa and to Karakol, the biggest town in the east of Issyk Kul, are part of the itinerary. If you visit Karakol on Sunday, you can visit the famous animal market, you can admire the Russian-orthodox wooden church as well as the Dungan mosque built in the style of a lama temple.
You will visit the Burana tower, a remnant of a city on the Silk Road. On the north shore you find the archaeological open air museum with the petroglyphs, stone carvings of the Scythes, living here 10th till 1st century BC.
In Tamchy you will be accommodated in a hotel, in Bishkek and Karakol in guesthouses and in Ak-Say and Temir-Kanat you will spend the night at local families. In some places in September it is still possible to sleep in a yurt: a felt tent that is normally used by nomads.
The itinerary of your tour might be altered due to availability of yurts or guesthouses. Don’t hesitate to ask for the travel program that will be applicable for your preferred travel date.
During the entire tour you will be accompanied by an English speaking interpreter.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of eight.
