We can offer this tour for a lower price than our other tours in high season, because we cut down on mileage.

You will stay in 3 different yurt camps, with local families and in a nice new guesthouse in Bishkek near the city centre. Two of the yurt camps are situated in the mountains, a third yurt camp is located at the end of a canyon at the shore of Lake Issyk-Kol.

You can hike in the mountains, ride on horseback, or learn how to ride. At the lake you can swim in very clear water and you will get acquainted with the daily life of the nomadic people of Kyrgyzstan. You will meet the herdsmen who live with their family and herds in the mountains during the summer months. You can taste the kumus they make out of fermented mare milk.

During your last day in Bishkek, you can visit the city on your own, go shopping at the Osh Bazaar or visit museums. In Bishkek, there are many parks with numerous terraces and small restaurants where you can sit and enjoy a drink or eat something.

Transportation from one yurt camp to another will take place by minibus. If you want, part of the itinerary can be done on foot. In that case, your luggage will be transported by car. An English-speaking interpreter will accompany you during the whole tour. The maximum number of participants is 8.

If you are interested in unspoiled nature and like to know more about the tradition of nomadic people this will be a tour you will never forget. You should not expect luxury and have a reasonable physical condition. Do have an open mind for unexpected occurrings.

Everything is included in the tour price with the exception of the flight, visa and bottled beverages and meals except in Bishkek. A visa can be obtained easily upon arrival at the airport in Bishkek. The price of the flight depends on the company you are flying with and the date of booking. Until the end of 2009 it is possible to buy a two way ticket for about 480 euro.

Program:

Day 1	Departure
Day 2	Arrival in Bishkek. Sightseeing in the afternoon.
Day 3	From Bishkek to Ak-Say yurt camp at lake Issyk-Kul ( alt.1600 m)
Day 4	Leisure day at the lake to adapt to the change of climate and time. Hiking, swimming.
Day 5	From Ak-Say to yurt camp Temir-Kanat, alt. 2450m. Part of this trip can be done on foot.
Days 6-7-8	Leisure days in Temir-Kanat, walking in the area or hiking into the high mountains. Horse riding, visiting herdsmen.
Day 9	From Temir-Kanat to yurt camp Tuura-Suu, alt 2250 m.
Days 10-11	Leisure days in Tuura-Suu, visit to the village, hiking, horse riding.
Day 12	From Tuura-Suu to the village of Kara-Talaa. Part of this route can also be done on foot.
Day 13	From Kara-Talaa to Bishkek by car.
Day 14	Leisure day in Bishkek, you can go shopping, visit museums, etc. Lunch not included in the tour price.
Day 15	Departure.

The price includes everything from arrival at the airport till departure, except the flight, visa and alcoholic beverages. If you book for 4 persons or more, we offer you 5% discount.

Because of unforeseen circumstances, it might be necessary to make small changes in the program. We ask for your understanding.

In case there are less then 4 participants for this tour, you are requested to pay an additional 100 euro p.p. to make this tour individually or with a small group.
