In the capital, Bishkek, you visit museums; if possible a concert or theatre performance, and you can shop in the oriental bazaar. We can organize a sauna visit, or maybe a relaxing massage, if you prefer. You can soak up the sunbeams of the warm late summer on a terrace downtown Bishkek while you sip your tea and write your travel journal.
Your tour around the lake is by minibus. Lake Issyk-Kol and its impressive scenery will give you the opportunity to hike and swim. You will visit Kochkor and Bokonbaevo: both small villages are well known for their handicrafts and felt making. Day trips to an old style spa and to Karakol, the biggest town in the east of Issyk-Kol, are part of the itinerary. If you visit Karakol on Sunday, you can visit the famous animal market, and you can admire the Russian-orthodox wooden church as well as the Dungan mosque built in the style of a lama temple.
