About tour
This 16 days program is suitable for adventurous hikers with a good physical condition and some experience in hiking in high mountain areas. Sometimes ropes and cramps will be used for safety reasons. After arriving in Bishkek, you will need some time to get used to the change in altitude. Therefore, we included a day hike in Ala Archa National Park and a hike in the Konorchok canyons before going to the east where the 8 days trekking will take place. You will also spend a night in one of the yurt camps and experience life of the Kyrgyz nomads. On the way back, you get stop in Cholpon-Ata, a lively town at the north side of Lake Issyk-Kul where you can go for a swim and/or visit the archeological open-air museum..
A very experienced guide and porters for your luggage will go with you. During the trekking you will spend the night in tents, so a warm sleeping bag and iso-mattrass is necessary. Transportation will be with own minibus, an English speaking guide also comes along.

Mountain passes, bad tracks, off-road, and firm climbs over 3000 m characterize this route.
Not all slopes are steep, but some are very long and on dirt roads.
But it is worth the effort.
