FOR PEOPLE PLANNING THEIR CYCLING TOUR

If you are planning your own cycling tour in Kyrgyzstan but would like a kick-start arranging your arrival and the first days in an unknown country, you can use our start program

A tour through uncharted territory

About tour

You have decided to plan your own cycling or mountain bike tour in Kyrgyzstan.

A smooth arrival and help with your first couple of days can make the whole experience easier and less stressful.  We meet you at the airport and transfer you to our own small cozy hotel.  Here there is plenty of room to set-up your cycles, and also room to store your cycle boxes whilst you are on you expedition.

When everything is organized we will drive you to the starting point of you journey in a Mercedes minivan.  At the end of the tour, you will cycle back to the hotel, where we will be waiting for you, to stay there the night before departure, have the time and space to pack your cycles, and we will take you to the airport to catch your flight home.

Day By Day Programme

Here you can find a detailed description of the tour with routes and locations

Day 1We meet you at the airport, transfer to the hotel, after a light meal and some hours sleep time to visit Bishkek and prepare bikes for the tour. (L/D) It is also possible to rent bikes, but this has to be booked in advance.
Day 2Day for last minute shopping and some cycling in the area (B/L/D).
Day 3We leave Bishkek after breakfast and drive through the Tor Ashuu Tunnel (3.100 m). Once through the tunnel you descent by car to the junction with the road to Son-Kul. It is very busy and dangerous road till this junction, therefore better do this by car. From here on you follow your own itinerary and the car returns to Bishkek (B).
End of the tourYou arrive again in Bishkek and have one night in hotel Umai, do some shopping and prepare everything for the flight back. Transfer to the airport for departure (B).

Due to unforeseen circumstances, it might be necessary to make small changes in the program.
We ask for your understanding.

Mountain passes, bad tracks, off-road, and firm climbs over 3000 m characterize this route.
Not all slopes are steep, but some are very long and on dirt roads.
But it is worth the effort.
